The blessing of work

Colossians-3-231Monday is the day that Social Networks are filled with ‘back to work blues’ comments. I find it sad that so many have forgotten the value of work. Some falsely believe that the highest goal in life is to achieve a condition in which one no longer needs to work. The privilege to work is a gift, the power to work is a blessing, and the love of work is success. To work honestly and productively brings contentment and a sense of self-worth.

In fact, for the believer, work is an act of worship. This means whatever you do, you should do it with all your heart – (with enthusiasm). Colossians 3:23 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters”.

So if you reading this at work – put your back into it! 

As for me, I’m on holiday, so I’m off to picnic at a beautiful waterfall. You know what they say “All work and no play” – well that’s another blog. Have a super day.
